Two things bond my books, even with disparate worlds.
The first is the love of characters with some edge, even quirk. Not too many straight and narrows in my fiction.
The other is that I love to read near the end of a book and wonder how the author will tie it all together. Can they pull it off? I work to provide that type of joy for my readers. When I’m writing, I often wonder how I’m going to do it myself. It makes it more fun for me. I am my first reader, after all.
Bumped Off, an LA Noir-clifi-detective novel is out now. It is the first book in the The Helping Hands Detectives Series.
California Hustle continues brisk sales since its release in Summer of ’23. California Hustle is a high stakes con, a stunning Southern California beach read filled with exquisite playas, astonishing twists and a set of criminals you can’t help but love.
My first book in the Q series, Reaping Independence is a technothriller with a fantasy bent.
I’m working on the next one but we don’t talk about them while we write them, do we? π
